Description

  • Identify and respond to security incidents on a global scale.
  • Act as incident commander and drive incidents through the full response lifecycle.
  • Design and maintain security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows for 24/7 incident response.
  • Conduct threat hunting activities and develop forward-looking strategies to counter emerging threats.
  • Research threat intelligence reports and triage resulting workflows.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve preparation, identification, analysis, containment, and post-mortem processes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing security incidents at a global scale or working in SOC, PSIRT, or CSIRT environments.
  • Expertise with SIEM systems such as ELK, Google BigQuery, or Splunk; Splunk proficiency is preferred.
  • Experience integrating and leveraging threat intelligence for detection engineering.
  • Experience with SOAR platforms such as Tines or Splunk SOAR.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Real-world experience in software development and/or engineering operations for consumer products and services.
  • Practical experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, or Microsoft Azure.
  • A B.S. in a technology-focused field is helpful.
  • Experience working in security operations or incident response is preferred.

  • US salary ranges of $163,000-$218,000 for Tier 1, $150,000-$200,000 for Tier 2, and $138,000-$185,000 for Tier 3 locations.
