Description

  • Assist in designing and maintaining secure infrastructure on EKS in a multi-cloud AWS environment using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Write code in Python, Go, or Bash to automate manual tasks, threat detection, and vulnerability management processes.
  • Help integrate security tools such as SAST, DAST, and SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support container operations for Kubernetes/EKS and self-hosted GitLab Runners.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and blameless post-mortems.
  • Work with senior engineers to improve resilience, reliability, and operational efficiency for engineering teams.
  • Help onboard and simplify the experience for engineering teams using the platform.
  • Contribute to building a production environment that is scalable, defensible, and highly reliable.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National to meet federal compliance requirements.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent capability.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming or scripting language such as Python, Go, Java, or Bash.
  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts, with AWS preferred, and a strong desire to learn Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Familiarity with basic security concepts such as the OWASP Top 10, or a strong interest in cybersecurity.
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for complex technical problems and large-scale systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Previous internship experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix command line is preferred.
  • Personal projects or coursework involving Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab or GitHub are preferred.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP is preferred.
