Description

  • Grow sales revenue and test volume by opening new hospital accounts and expanding utilization within existing accounts.
  • Build, manage, and nurture regional hospital and health system relationships across the assigned territory.
  • Prioritize and segment accounts to maximize growth opportunities and territory performance.
  • Present product capabilities to clinical and executive stakeholders and manage the full consultative sales cycle from lead qualification through close.
  • Lead early evaluations and support adoption of the Karius test over time.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the science, technology, and value of the Karius test.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships, drive stakeholder consensus, and demonstrate ROI to partner accounts.
  • Secure contracts and renewals for partner agreements when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Product, and regional leadership to support territory goals and gather market feedback.
  • Support partner onboarding, manage follow-up, address risks and concerns, and maintain account health.
  • Participate in sales meetings, trainings, conventions, trade shows, and local market activities.
  • Complete Salesforce documentation, expense reports, speaker program information, and other administrative duties accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 5 years of sales or business development experience in Life Sciences, Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment, and/or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proven success introducing transformational or novel products or services to physicians and hospitals before broad guideline or publication support existed.
  • Strong existing network across hospital and health system stakeholders, including microbiology labs, send-out labs, physician groups, C-level executives, and clinical administrators.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with greater metropolitan area health systems in the Kansas City region.
  • Strong vision and planning capabilities to grow a territory.
  • Excellent business acumen, analytical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of top sales achievement and meeting or exceeding objectives.
  • Experience with multi-level account management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and facilitation skills with small and large groups.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, confidentiality, and relationship-building ability.
  • Passion for the Karius mission and culture.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $118,337 to $177,505 per year.
