Description

  • Grow territory revenue and test volume by securing new hospital business and expanding utilization in existing accounts.
  • Build, manage, and nurture regional hospital and health system accounts.
  • Prioritize and segment accounts to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Present product features, benefits, and scientific value to clinicians and other hospital stakeholders using a consultative sales approach.
  • Lead early evaluations, support adoption, and drive increased long-term utilization of the Karius test.
  • Develop thought leaders and early adopters for the company’s diagnostic approach.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the science, technology, and clinical value of the Karius test.
  • Build consensus and trusted-advisor relationships across physicians, lab directors, executives, and administrators.
  • Secure and renew contracts or agreements when appropriate to support long-term partnerships and revenue predictability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Product teams to share market feedback, support account onboarding, and coordinate regional activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 5 years of sales or business development experience in life sciences, biotech, medical device, diagnostic equipment, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Demonstrated success introducing novel or transformational products or services to physicians and hospitals.
  • Strong existing network in hospitals and health systems, including microbiology labs, send-out labs, physician groups, C-level executives, and clinical administrators.
  • Experience with multi-level account management.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build credibility with stakeholders from physicians to executives through subject matter and industry expertise.
  • Track record of top sales achievement and consistently meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-oriented environment.
