Description

  • Lead and conduct on-site healthcare facility assessments and multi-day surveys, including data collection and plans of correction.
  • Work with clients to implement solutions that meet NFPA, Joint Commission, CMS, DNV, and other AHJ requirements.
  • Apply emergency management principles to program assessments, hazard vulnerability analyses, policy and procedure development, training, and simulation exercises.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into actionable, client-specific strategies that support innovation, equity, and operational effectiveness.
  • Deliver hands-on and classroom-based training in fire safety, fire response, and surgical fire prevention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagements and build long-term client relationships.
  • Support business development through proposal development, industry events, and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new service offerings, thought leadership content, and client education initiatives.
  • Stay current on evolving regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection, Fire Science, Safety, Emergency Management, or a related field preferred; an Associate degree with equivalent experience will be considered.
  • CHFM and/or CFPS certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare-related consulting or compliance experience focused on Life Safety, Environment of Care/Physical Environment, and Emergency Management.
  • Experience leading client-facing engagements and influencing solutions across diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify new business opportunities or expand existing client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 101 and related standards such as NFPA 13, NFPA 72, and NFPA 25.
  • Familiarity with accrediting body standards such as Joint Commission, DNV, ACHC, and AAAHC.
  • Understanding of the CMS 2016 Emergency Preparedness Rule and standards such as NFPA 99 and NFPA 1600.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to emerging technologies and platforms.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 50%, with potential for international assignments; typically one week on client site and one week home.
