Description

  • Execute outbound prospecting to generate qualified meetings and pipeline in an assigned territory.
  • Generate new logo opportunities and growth opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand business needs, qualify opportunities, and create Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs).
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly BDR-sourced SAO targets.
  • Research target accounts, identify key stakeholders and compelling events, and tailor outreach strategies.
  • Run multi-touch outreach cadences across calls, email, social, and other channels using Outreach.
  • Track, manage, and report prospecting activities and pipeline accurately in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Field, Corporate, and Digital Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams on account lists, campaigns, and call strategies.
  • Attend regional marketing events to engage participants, generate leads, and drive qualified SAOs.
  • Document and improve BDR processes in the GitLab handbook and mentor new BDR hires.

Requirements

  • 100% remote role based in the United States and/or Canada.
  • Positive, energetic phone presence with excellent listening and strong writing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage a high volume of outreach, and follow through consistently.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, persist through setbacks, and drive work to completion independently.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and willingness to work in accordance with them.
  • Knowledge of business process, roles, and organizational structure.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Outreach or similar prospecting/sequencing tools.
  • Proficiency in English, which is required for effective communication.
  • Previous experience in the tech industry or in sales development, marketing, or sales is a plus.
  • Extensive onboarding and training are provided, including DevOps and GitLab knowledge.

  • Base salary range of $59,000 to $84,000 USD.
