Description

  • Manage the month-end close and reporting process to ensure an accurate and timely close.
  • Consolidate group financial statements and prepare related disclosures and periodical analysis.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and document new policies and procedures.
  • Work with domestic and international entity controllers to support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
  • Assist the product team in developing features that improve product functionality for clients’ accounting teams.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on process improvements and automation.
  • Help design internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Coordinate with external tax and technical accounting advisory firms on various matters.
  • Manage the year-end financial audit and work directly with auditors to ensure a smooth process.
  • Support special projects, ad hoc reporting, analysis requests, and other finance tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting, with Big 4 or top national firms required.
  • 4+ years of experience in a multinational group with several entities.
  • 2+ years of experience managing direct reports.
  • Experience owning the month-end close process.
  • Experience developing, documenting, and rolling out cross-functional processes.
  • Prior experience preparing financial statements for public companies.
  • CPA and a B.A. in Accounting with strong US GAAP knowledge; MBA preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SQL and Macros are a plus.
  • Sage experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluent English required.
  • Ability to understand business needs and apply accounting principles in a practical, business-friendly way.
  • Creative, agile, and able to pivot quickly in a changing environment.
