Description

  • Build high-performance, production-grade API layers for both human users and autonomous AI agents.
  • Develop custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and integration layers consumed directly by LLMs and AI agents.
  • Design real-time data delivery services optimized for high-throughput traffic and low-latency access.
  • Architect resilient systems with rigorous traffic shaping, self-healing behavior, and four-nines availability.
  • Implement advanced API design patterns for context-aware data delivery and efficient payload shaping.
  • Manage enterprise scalability, concurrency, and contention across API and database tiers.
  • Develop hardened security, governance, and AI isolation controls across integration surfaces.
  • Build access layers and caching strategies for relational and search data sources.
  • Implement observability and runtime tracing across API services using OpenTelemetry and Datadog.
  • Collaborate on asynchronous write delegation and event-driven integration patterns for high-contention workloads.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Backend Software Engineering, Distributed Systems Architecture, or Enterprise Platform Engineering.
  • 4+ years architecting mission-critical systems with 99.99% availability, traffic shaping, and self-healing behavior.
  • 2+ years building production-grade integration layers, semantic context gateways, or RAG endpoints used by LLMs and autonomous AI agents.
  • Production-level proficiency in one or more of C# (.NET Core), Java, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with advanced API design and context optimization.
  • Experience with enterprise scalability, traffic management, and lock/contention mitigation across API and database tiers.
  • Experience with hardened security, governance, and AI isolation.
  • Preferred experience with GraphQL and dynamic JSON/gRPC filtering layers for zero-waste data fetching.
  • Preferred experience developing custom MCP servers for LLM context exposure.
  • Preferred experience with heterogeneous schema merging for tool-calling across relational databases, analytics platforms, and observability tools.
  • Preferred experience with semantic token-aware API pagination, streaming, and context-aware gateways.
  • Preferred experience with edge performance technologies such as CloudFront Functions, Lambda@Edge, HTTP/3, and WebSockets.
  • Preferred experience with PostgreSQL and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch access layers and sub-millisecond caching.
  • Preferred experience with reactive streams and rate-limiting for Amazon MSK (Kafka), SQS, and HTTP endpoints.
  • Preferred experience with Circuit Breakers, Bulkheads, and Retry-with-Exponential-Backoff patterns.
  • Preferred experience with Amazon MemoryDB, Redis OSS, or Valkey for caching and rate limiting.
  • Preferred experience with optimistic concurrency control, CQRS, asynchronous write delegation, and zero-trust security practices.
  • Preferred experience with OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, AWS Lake Formation, and security proxy layers over Amazon Bedrock.
  • Preferred experience with end-to-end API runtime tracing using OpenTelemetry and Datadog.
