Description

Build the foundation of Torc's AI development tooling.
Independently develop data science models and algorithms using disciplined software development practices.
Make recommendations on whether to create new code or reuse existing code.
Enforce version control and maintain documentation for created applications.
Work with Data Ops to define and implement data ingestion, preparation, curation, and governance for large datasets.
Organize and lead projects, including guiding less experienced team members.
Support visualization and data accessibility to deliver key insights in a customer-centric manner.
Develop guidelines and standards for analytics and machine learning models, deployment, and related processes.
Communicate and collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated technical proficiency.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated technical proficiency.
Experience translating ambiguous and complex business problems into machine learning workflows.
Comfort working on frontier or exploratory topics and driving innovation.
Ability to make practical judgments about what Torc can implement at scale.
Ability to communicate outcomes and progress clearly to other teams.
Resilience to work on projects that may not reach production.
Willingness to work across multiple topics and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
