Description

  • Define and drive the end-to-end mobile test strategy, including test data, coverage, defect trends, and root cause analysis.
  • Build, maintain, and scale automation frameworks for iOS and Android using tools such as Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast and reliable feedback.
  • Test mobile applications on real devices through cloud labs such as BrowserStack.
  • Measure battery usage, network performance across 3G/4G/5G, and memory leaks on mobile devices.
  • Perform backend API testing to validate data integrity between the mobile front end and servers.
  • Conduct exploratory and manual testing to uncover edge cases and gaps in automated coverage.
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to improve mobile quality across the development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and help raise team-wide quality standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in QA, including at least 4+ years in mobile testing for iOS and Android.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Kotlin.
  • Proven experience building automation frameworks, not just writing individual scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
  • Strong debugging skills using tools such as Charles Proxy and Xcode/Android Studio logs.
  • Experience with BrowserStack or similar device labs.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
  • Familiarity with Jira, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring structure to ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an engineer-minded approach to building systems.
  • Experience balancing automation with pragmatic manual testing.
  • Passion for UX, performance, reliability, and uncovering hidden flaws.
