Description

  • Use data to identify the most promising product opportunity areas and help refine new product ideas.
  • Drive AI for Analytics data science work and deploy AI systems in production settings.
  • Improve product features by adding intelligent functionality using statistical and machine learning methods.
  • Lead critical efforts to completion with little oversight while collaborating across data science, engineering, and product functions.
  • Create and maintain the product roadmap for the team.
  • Prioritize competing stakeholder requests and align the team on principles, processes, and goals.
  • Contribute data expertise to analytics and product strategy discussions.
  • Occasionally step into adjacent functions such as data engineering or machine learning engineering when needed.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of work experience in data science or a related field.
  • Deep experience with AI workflows.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python (pandas), SQL, git, and Jupyter notebooks.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills.
  • Experience building a machine learning, statistical, or AI model that reached production.
  • 8+ years of work experience in data science or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team to design a metric system aligned to business strategy (preferred).
  • Significant causal experimentation experience (preferred).
  • Experience building and supporting a complex machine learning or statistical model in production (preferred).
  • Experience with scikit-learn, statsmodels, or PyTorch; a visualization library other than matplotlib; Flask; and Snowflake (preferred).

  • Highly market-competitive compensation.
  • Base salary of $192,000 to $202,500 CAD for candidates based in Canada.
  • New hire equity grant eligibility.
  • Annual refresh equity grants.
  • Hiring currently available only in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
