Description

  • Map high-value workflows end to end, including data flows, decision points, handoffs, and bottlenecks.
  • Identify opportunities where automation can deliver meaningful step-change improvements in speed, scale, cost, or feasibility.
  • Design future-state workflows that determine when to use agents, deterministic applications, human review, and safety guardrails.
  • Build production internal tools and workflow automations that teams rely on daily.
  • Select the right implementation approach for each task, including agentic workflows, scripts, or deterministic apps.
  • Connect business systems and technical tools across APIs, CLIs, MCP servers, spreadsheets, data warehouses, orchestration tools, and databases.
  • Create human-in-the-loop interfaces where checkpoints are needed.
  • Own production workflows by monitoring performance, tracking KPIs, and explaining outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Run evaluations and regression tests after model, prompt, or data changes.
  • Document patterns, create playbooks, and help increase AI adoption across teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to map a business process and redesign it with automation.
  • Technical fluency with APIs, CLIs, MCP, databases, and workflow orchestration.
  • Strong judgment on when to use agents versus deterministic tools.
  • Strong foundation in at least one programming language such as TypeScript, Python, or Kotlin.
  • Ability to build full-stack solutions when needed.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs in production, including structured outputs, eval frameworks, error handling, and human-in-the-loop design.
  • Operational maturity with experience monitoring, measuring, iterating, and documenting production systems.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional work and presenting business cases to non-technical leaders.
  • Preferred: familiarity with recent releases and capabilities from Anthropic, OpenAI, Vercel, OpenClaw, and similar applied AI tools.
  • Preferred: portfolio of agent-powered workflows or internal tools that have been built and deployed.
  • Preferred: understanding of git, version control workflows, and basic security and safety practices for production AI systems.
  • Preferred: experience working with ops, finance, marketing, or another non-engineering business function.
  • Preferred: experience teaching non-technical people to use AI tools effectively.
  • Preferred: written content about Applied AI, such as blog posts, threads, or internal docs.
