Description

  • Prospect and engage independent retailers to join the Instacart Marketplace.
  • Identify, contact, and qualify potential partners through cold calls and emails.
  • Manage leads through the pipeline by setting meetings and following up with prospects.
  • Close small business opportunities and support the end-to-end sales cycle for smaller deals.
  • Build meaningful relationships with local retailers and communicate Instacart’s value proposition.
  • Develop sales collateral, case studies, and tailored stories for independent retailers.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Use problem-solving, solution mapping, and negotiation to move partnership opportunities forward.
  • Prioritize work effectively and adapt to changing go-to-market needs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and lasting relationships.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the grocery industry, including market trends and operational challenges (preferred).
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions to support retailer success is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce and sales engagement tools (preferred).

Benefits

  • Remote role with Flex First work flexibility.
  • Highly market-competitive compensation.
  • Base salary range of $57,000–$61,000 for CA, NY, CT, and NJ; $54,000–$58,000 for WA; $52,000–$56,000 for select states; and $47,000–$49,000 for all other states.
  • Eligible for a new hire equity grant.
  • Eligible for annual refresh equity grants.
  • Access to Instacart benefits offerings.
