Description

  • Build and coach a team of early-career sales professionals to consistently hit quota and exceed quarterly targets.
  • Lead structured one-on-ones, deal coaching, and individualized development plans to improve seller performance.
  • Own team development, coaching cadence, pipeline discipline, and performance culture.
  • Partner with Account Management, Measurement Science, Insights, Ad Ops, and Product to improve sales execution and customer experience.
  • Identify and implement process, collateral, and data-sharing improvements to create more scalable sales infrastructure.
  • Lead and support Joint Business Planning and Upfront negotiations with brand partners.
  • Develop C-level client relationships that position Instacart as a strategic growth partner.
  • Drive year-over-year advertising revenue growth through strategic partnerships.
  • Navigate a complex, matrixed organization while collaborating cross-functionally on sales and account execution.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of sales experience, including 2–3 years of first-line people management of individual contributors.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals or quota as both an individual contributor and a manager.
  • Demonstrated success coaching and developing early-career sales professionals with measurable results.
  • Experience implementing scalable coaching frameworks and sales methodologies in high-growth environments.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% for team meetings, customer visits, and industry events.
  • Digital advertising experience, particularly in paid search, display, or retail media, is preferred.
  • Background in CPG, eCommerce, or marketplace sales environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a top-performing individual contributor before moving into management is preferred.

  • Base salary range varies by location, with US ranges from $138,000 to $174,000.
  • OTE range of $275,500 to $347,500 USD.
