Description

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and optimized data solutions aligned to business requirements and strategic goals.
  • Evaluate clients’ existing data estates, diagnose issues, and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide architecture and data management advice.
  • Develop data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries.
  • Oversee ingestion and integration of data from multiple sources into enterprise data platforms.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and implement data governance processes and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and other team members.
  • Identify and mitigate data-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Gather, validate, synthesize, document, and communicate data and information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and data management.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, database management, and data modelling.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks, particularly Agile.
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL database management systems.
  • Experience with technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience with data modelling tools, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with at least one cloud data platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Strong knowledge of data workflow solutions such as Azure Data Factory, Apache NiFi, or Apache Airflow.
  • Knowledge of stream and batch processing tools such as Apache Flink and Apache Kafka.
  • Knowledge of log management, monitoring, and analytics tools such as Splunk, Elastic Stack, or New Relic.
  • Broad business skill set including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and resilience.
  • Ability to communicate data and information effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel for project-related work.
