Description

  • Lead pre-deployment validation of AI and LLM tools and produce model cards documenting intended use, limitations, monitoring, and rollback plans.
  • Partner with data, engineering, product, security, compliance, legal, and clinical leaders to evaluate and govern AI tools.
  • Build LLM evaluation datasets and gold standards, run clinical red-teaming and prompt testing, refine prompts and guardrails, and assess RAG fidelity.
  • Train clinicians to oversee AI tools, adjudicate exceptions, and follow SOPs, checklists, and escalation pathways.
  • Administer clinical AI governance activities, including ethics, safety, regulatory, privacy, change control, and documentation.
  • Maintain governance artifacts such as charters, SOPs, decision logs, and audit-readiness materials.
  • Support clinical quality assurance, URAC/NCQA-aligned activities, and policy, standards, and rubric management.
  • Lead or participate in event detection, root cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA, and related education and training efforts.
  • Support client and payer audits, RFPs, value-based care metrics, implementations, and escalations, grievances, and appeals.
  • Analyze clinical quality performance data and translate insights into improvements that enhance outcomes, member experience, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree with an active, unrestricted medical license.
  • 3+ years of clinical practice experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality, patient safety, or clinical operations.
  • Experience reviewing LLM outputs clinically, building evaluation datasets, running red-teams and prompt tests, and assessing RAG systems.
  • Experience with quality improvement and patient safety methods such as PDSA, Lean/Six Sigma, RCA/RCA2, FMEA, and CAPA.
  • Working knowledge of URAC, NCQA, and CMS, with familiarity with HEDIS and MIPS.
  • Proven track record of quality improvement within value-based care models.
  • Experience partnering with analytics or data science teams and interpreting core performance metrics.
  • Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Preferred experience building, deploying, and iterating clinical AI agents, plus proficiency with BI and analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI, basic SQL, and statistics.
  • Preferred experience in virtual care, care navigation, and enterprise audits.
  • Strong clinical judgment, systems thinking, analytical rigor, and the ability to coach and influence across clinical and technical teams.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and work independently.
  • Remote-first availability with limited travel of approximately 10-15%.
