Description

  • Design, document, and implement efficient manufacturing processes for new product development and full-rate production.
  • Develop process workflows and detailed work instructions to support production execution.
  • Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks and imbalances caused by layout, parts shortages, staffing shortages, and other production constraints.
  • Use cycle time and quality metrics to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Provide technical guidance to the production team and serve as a liaison between engineering, supply chain, and other departments.
  • Work with the Quality team to set standards, implement inspection processes, and evaluate product specifications against manufacturing requirements.
  • Organize and participate in workshops to generate solutions for complex manufacturing issues.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that supports knowledge sharing and team engagement.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture in the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment building complex electrical assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of hardware manufacturing processes for electronics and electromechanical systems, including PCBAs, sensor hardware, battery power systems, and cable harnesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a product through manufacturing from start to finish and coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience analyzing material flow in a facility, including pull systems, Kanban, Min/Max calculations, part presentation to operator, and line-side racking.
  • Prior experience with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for production operations.
  • Prior experience with Oracle, NetSuite, or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Ability to read technical documentation such as electrical schematics and 3D CAD files.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: Experience with production line design and setup, including value stream mapping, material flow lines, one-piece flow, and workstation design.
  • Preferred: Experience with CAD and production simulation software such as Solidworks, Siemens/Teamcenter/PlantSim/ProcessSim.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation.
