Description

  • Architect and deliver restaurant-facing services spanning data models, APIs, and user interfaces.
  • Own merchant-facing restaurant workflows, including kitchen displays and order lifecycle screens.
  • Extend and harden production services without destabilizing existing systems.
  • Design for concurrency, transactional integrity, idempotency, retries, and race conditions.
  • Build offline-capable clients with local state, synchronization, and conflict reconciliation.
  • Implement queues, background jobs, and event-driven processing.
  • Plan and execute safe releases serving tens of thousands of users.
  • Collaborate directly with product managers and designers to shape product direction.
  • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and design guidance to other engineers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of full-stack product development experience, including senior ownership.
  • Deep production experience with Node.js and TypeScript across the full stack.
  • Strong REST API design and microservices experience.
  • Advanced relational database skills with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, indexing, query tuning, and transactions.
  • Experience with Redis or MongoDB, caching, and cache invalidation.
  • Experience with queues or streaming systems such as Kinesis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or BullMQ, including ordering, duplicates, replay, and consumer lag.
  • Frontend experience with Vue, React, or Angular, including component architecture, state management, and progressive web applications.
  • Experience building real-time interfaces with WebSockets, preferably Socket.IO.
  • Experience deploying horizontally scalable, fault-tolerant services and debugging unfamiliar production failures.
  • Comfort with Linux, Git, CI/CD, PHP codebases, and AI-assisted engineering; excellent spoken and written English.
