Description

  • Collaborate with testing, Government, development, functional, and vendor teams to plan and conduct iterative interface testing.
  • Review requirements, user stories, Interface Control Documents, business process flows, data mappings, and technical diagrams to define test coverage.
  • Develop, review, and update test plans, test cases, and scripts for new or modified interfaces.
  • Execute interface testing after configuration or development changes and validate file transfers, data mappings, business rules, error handling, and processing results.
  • Use Momentum Financials and database queries to validate transaction results, record counts, control totals, data accuracy, and reconciliation results.
  • Develop or coordinate test data needed for interface test scenarios.
  • Document test evidence and results, maintain and prioritize the defect log, and support defect retesting and closure.
  • Prepare testing status updates and summary reports.
  • Support formal testing events such as System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Identify, document, escalate, and help resolve interface defects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8 years of total professional experience, including experience with Momentum Financials or another enterprise resource planning system.
  • 4 years of related testing experience, including developing and executing test scripts, documenting test results and evidence, identifying defects, and supporting defect resolution and retesting.
  • Demonstrated experience testing interfaces between an ERP application and external systems.
  • Experience validating data mappings, file or message processing, business rules, error handling, and expected system results.
  • Experience using Oracle SQL to query and analyze database records and support defect investigation.
  • Experience reviewing requirements, user stories, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), data mappings, business process flows, or technical diagrams to develop test scenarios and scripts.
  • Knowledge of Federal financial business processes and testing strategies, methodologies, defect management, and iterative or progressive integration testing.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders, developers, functional teams, and external vendors.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience supporting programs or projects for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (preferred).
  • Experience using Agility, Jira, or similar tools to manage requirements, test cases, defects, and progress (preferred).
  • Experience using SoapUI to test web services, APIs, or system interfaces (preferred).
  • Experience serving as a business analyst or interface analyst for interface development or modification (preferred).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative development and testing environments (preferred).
