Description

  • Plan, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of operating programs using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Use source data to assess program and business process performance, identify trends and gaps, and surface improvement opportunities.
  • Manipulate and present program data to communicate status to stakeholders and program leadership.
  • Apply clinical informatics knowledge to evaluate program operations and recommend improvements aligned with VA healthcare objectives.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting products.
  • Support business process improvement efforts by analyzing current-state workflows and contributing to future-state design.
  • Prepare written reports, briefings, and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with program team members, subject matter experts, and government clients to gather and validate data.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and program documentation.
  • Participate in working groups, team meetings, and program reviews as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program analysis, business analysis, or a related role.
  • Relevant clinical informatics experience in a Veterans Administration healthcare setting.
  • Experience using data to evaluate program effectiveness and support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of program planning, analysis, and evaluation methodologies for federal health IT programs.
  • Ability to use source data and analytical tools to measure program and business process effectiveness.
  • Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, including data visualization and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manipulate and present program data clearly and accurately to varied audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing professional reports and executive-level briefings.
  • Experience working with the Veterans Health Administration or a similar federal health agency, such as CDC, CMS, DHA, or HHS, preferred.
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one, preferred.
  • Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA), CPHIMS, or similar certification, preferred.
  • Familiarity with VistA, CPRS, or other VA clinical and administrative data systems, preferred.
  • Experience using VA analytics platforms such as Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) or VSSC, preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAFe Lean-Agile principles and Agile program delivery, preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI, preferred.
  • Familiarity with VA strategic planning frameworks, VHA Directives, and federal performance management requirements, preferred.
