Description

  • Own delivery, product quality, and uptime for complex mission-critical features and systems.
  • Lead technical decisions with company-wide impact and define long-term technical goals and initiatives.
  • Create the technical vision for new SIEM features based on the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, security research, platform, and architecture teams on strategic initiatives and technical designs.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for the team and department.
  • Design and optimize workflows that bridge traditional development practices and AI-assisted engineering.
  • Build and evolve AI tooling and daily development workflows.
  • Improve testing approaches, code quality, test coverage, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Lead performance improvements across team and platform solutions, including system lifecycle and risk management.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers while helping the team estimate, plan, and deliver work on time.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience developing complex software products.
  • 8+ years of programming in Ruby on Rails.
  • 8+ years of experience scaling Postgres databases.
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with modern data storage and query systems for high-volume analytics workloads.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
  • Experience with JavaScript and CSS.
  • Experience reviewing code, solving problems, and performing technical troubleshooting.
  • Deep understanding of ActiveRecord (Rails).
  • Strong technical, diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms or security log/event data is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP is preferred.
  • Experience with Stimulus, Turbo, Hotwire, or similar frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience working in a Ruby on Rails monolith is preferred.
  • Experience with ClickHouse, Vector, Tailwind CSS, Tailwind UI, Flowbite, or data-led product design is preferred.
