Description

  • Own the accuracy and integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting close processes.
  • Manage key accounting areas including accrued expenses, internally used software, sales commissions, and other periodic close activities.
  • Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls over financial reporting, including desktop procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and deliver flux analysis and key metrics to the Finance team.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Technical Accounting, Procurement, and other teams to align on accounting operating standards and practices.
  • Work with Technical Accounting to document process flows and implement new or updated accounting standards.
  • Support interim and year-end audits, as well as tax requests.
  • Supervise staff, provide coaching and development, and ensure timely execution of key processes.
  • Lead AI automation projects to reduce manual effort and accelerate the month-end close.
  • Participate in ad hoc assignments and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience in the SaaS/Tech industry.
  • 2+ years of people management experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience, with Big 4 experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of internally used software accounting (ASC 350) and deferred commission accounting (ASC 340) in SaaS companies.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to work normal business hours in the PST time zone.
  • Proven experience identifying, evaluating, and implementing AI-driven accounting tools or automation to optimize workflows.

  • Base salary of $130,000 to $155,000 annually.
