Description

  • Own the full lifecycle of annual and off-cycle compensation cycles in Workday, from planning through execution, auditing, and close.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for Workday Compensation, including salary plans, grade profiles, merit and bonus plans, and advanced compensation features.
  • Partner with Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Finance, and Payroll to translate compensation strategy into Workday configuration.
  • Lead requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment of compensation-related enhancements, releases, and new functionality.
  • Build and maintain test plans and regression suites while ensuring data integrity across compensation processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve compensation system issues as an escalation point for People Systems and HR Operations teams.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve compensation workflows and reporting.
  • Produce documentation such as process flows, configuration guides, and training materials for HR and business stakeholders.
  • Stay current on Workday roadmap updates and evaluate new compensation features.
  • Support adjacent Workday modules, including HCM, Payroll, and Benefits, based on project and team needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience, including at least 3+ years focused on Workday Compensation configuration and administration.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end compensation cycles such as merit, bonus, and equity at a large, fast-paced company.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday Compensation concepts, including salary plans, grade profiles, eligibility rules, review cycles, and worksheets.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles and HR data.
  • Experience translating ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical configurations.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including experience with EIBs, calculated fields, and Workday reporting.
  • Ability to communicate complex system concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-growth, fast-changing environment.
  • Working knowledge of adjacent Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, or Benefits and willingness to contribute across module areas.
  • Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation, including long-term incentive plans and stock plan administration, is preferred.
  • Experience supporting global compensation programs across multiple countries and currencies is preferred.

  • Annual cash compensation range: $110,900–$166,400 USD.
