Description

  • Design, deploy, and maintain API integrations between vendor software platforms and Syllo’s internal systems.
  • Build data extraction interfaces that pipe external metrics into BigQuery data warehouses.
  • Partner with the Senior Data Engineer to model, clean, and land application metrics into warehouse pipelines.
  • Build error handling, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms for reliable integration pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain internal dashboards and reporting surfaces for Finance, RevOps, and Customer Success.
  • Evaluate existing software capabilities and recommend custom builds only when they provide clear strategic value.
  • Use AI development tools to accelerate code writing, test creation, and documentation.
  • Share AI-assisted development best practices with the broader team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business systems engineering, integration engineering, backend software development, or a closely related role in a B2B SaaS or enterprise environment.
  • Proven track record building and maintaining production integrations between vendor applications and internal data platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python and FastAPI.
  • Practical experience building basic frontend interfaces in modern frameworks like React.
  • Experience building or supporting data pipelines into BigQuery or equivalent cloud data warehouses.
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools connected to cloud data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with light ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Prior experience integrating core business systems such as CRM, billing, support platforms, or HRIS is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to use AI tools to improve engineering output, code quality, and documentation.
