Description

  • Evaluate and prioritize incoming requests based on business impact, urgency, and technical feasibility.
  • Set clear expectations with stakeholders and communicate trade-offs, timelines, risks, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate the movement of work from roadmap through project intake, prioritization, cost-benefit analysis, and project initiation.
  • Maintain operational metrics, roadmaps, goals, project status, and other department reports.
  • Identify and remove operational roadblocks such as process inefficiencies, unclear responsibilities, and misaligned priorities.
  • Coordinate resource capacity and demand planning, onboarding, tracking, and support for employee and contractual staff.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration and shared understanding of priorities, dependencies, and technical solutions.
  • Create accountability structures and promote a culture of ownership, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
  • Coach team leads on planning, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Serve as an escalation and resolution point for cross-team resource conflicts and competing priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT leadership with a focus on managing IT projects, technical support, and/or system enhancements.
  • Proven ability to make strategic prioritization decisions that drive business value.
  • Experience implementing generative AI technologies in development workflows.
  • Familiarity with data management areas such as data-intensive applications, data development lifecycles, data analytics, business intelligence, data governance, and/or data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical priorities and vice versa.
  • Ability to view the enterprise data ecosystem holistically and identify systemic issues across multiple teams or business areas.
  • Familiarity with planning and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Enterprise One, Monday, Jira, or Azure DevOps, and IT project/portfolio management best practices.
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks to support adoption of new processes, tools, or prioritization frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Preferred: experience leading or shaping IT data and continuous improvement teams in a large enterprise environment.
  • Preferred: experience in Insurance, Financial Services, or a related business domain.
  • Preferred: familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), ITIL frameworks, and Agile methodologies.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $105,200.00 to $147,950.00.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience, location, and other factors.
