Description

  • Own the full lifecycle of the Opportunities backend, from customer needs through production services.
  • Design and evolve data models for pipelines, stages, deals, and related entities.
  • Build scalable APIs, event-driven workflows, and background jobs for high-volume operations.
  • Address distributed-systems challenges including idempotency, consistency, race conditions, and tenant isolation.
  • Improve performance and reliability through indexing, sharding, caching, and query optimization.
  • Ship occasional Vue.js UI changes independently when needed.
  • Instrument systems with logs, metrics, traces, and SLOs.
  • Lead incident response, postmortems, and ongoing engineering-quality improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data modeling, API design, and distributed systems.
  • Production experience with Node.js or Go.
  • Experience owning services end-to-end, including design, deployment, and on-call operations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ambiguous, high-ownership problem spaces.
  • Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability trade-offs.
  • Experience building CRM, sales, pipeline, or workflow products.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, including sharding, tenant isolation, and fair-use limits.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Redis Streams, queues, and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience with MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, or similar systems at scale.
  • Vue.js fluency sufficient to ship features independently.
  • Strong product instincts and a portfolio or GitHub demonstrating shipped work.
