Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and reusable components.
  • Build high-performance microservices for large-scale workloads.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture.
  • Optimize services for scalability, performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, resolve incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Improve monitoring, logging, testing, and observability practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, infrastructure teams, and engineers.
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering, testing, and SDLC improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on backend software development experience.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js; candidates with JavaScript, Go, Java, Python, C#, or similar experience may also apply if willing to work extensively with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, schema design, and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of caching, asynchronous processing, and message queues.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms, plus familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Sentry, ELK, or similar.
  • Preferred: high-scale SaaS, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, Agile development, and backend performance optimization experience.
