Description

  • Build and ship features in Node.js and Go microservices handling live production traffic.
  • Own services and components end to end, including code, testing, rollout, and monitoring.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases by writing queries, modeling data, and adding indexes.
  • Build and operate queues, caches, and rate limiters for distributed systems.
  • Develop Vue 3 interfaces connected to backend APIs, including state management and realtime updates.
  • Write design documents and present technical trade-offs during reviews.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and diagnose and resolve production incidents.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, apply code review feedback, and improve system reliability.
  • Contribute to messaging, automation, and event-driven systems operating at high scale.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of backend engineering experience with Node.js, Go, or a comparable language.
  • Working knowledge of asynchronous processing or queues such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Understanding of distributed-systems concepts including idempotency, retries, and consistency trade-offs.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis or another cache or in-memory store.
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, including data modeling, efficient queries, and indexes.
  • Proficiency with Vue 3 or a similar modern frontend framework and state management such as Pinia or Vuex.
  • Habit of writing tests and ability to communicate design decisions in clear documentation.
  • Daily experience using AI coding agents to produce accurate, tested production code.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, GCP, MongoDB, Firestore, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, or GitHub Actions preferred.
  • Experience with messaging, automation, event-driven systems, side projects, or open-source work preferred.
