Description

  • Design, build, and ship web applications and APIs underpinning the Board Intelligence platform.
  • Lead platform feature development, particularly authentication and identity capabilities.
  • Deliver SCIM provisioning and passkey (FIDO2) support for enterprise clients.
  • Collaborate directly with clients’ IT and technology teams to understand requirements and provide informed technical guidance.
  • Build to the security and data protection standards expected by regulated financial services organizations.
  • Work across Ruby, TypeScript/React, Python, and Java as needed.
  • Share knowledge and develop engineering expertise in platform authentication and security.
  • Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code while maintaining high engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Upper mid-level to senior professional software engineering experience.
  • Significant professional experience with Ruby and proficiency in at least one other programming language.
  • Strong foundations in system design, testing, code quality, and software engineering practices.
  • Production experience building and maintaining web applications and APIs.
  • Confidence working with clients’ technical teams, including asking effective questions and challenging requirements when appropriate.
  • Experience using AI coding tools in day-to-day development with sound quality judgment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Experience in regulated enterprise environments, preferably financial services (preferred).
  • Experience building or integrating authentication systems such as SSO, SAML, OpenID Connect, SCIM, or passkeys (preferred).
  • Experience with TypeScript/React, Python, or Java, plus a strong interest in security and data protection (preferred).
