Description

  • Design and ship multi-tenant commerce services for checkout, subscriptions, payment orchestration, invoicing, and tax integrations.
  • Integrate payment service providers and local payment methods, including UPI, wallets, BNPL, cards, and 3DS.
  • Build resilient webhook workflows and idempotent APIs.
  • Implement an append-only, double-entry ledger and apply event sourcing or CQRS where appropriate.
  • Write production-grade code with comprehensive test coverage and OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
  • Operate services on GKE with CI/CD, autoscaling, SLIs/SLOs, and on-call ownership.
  • Define event contracts, data policies, consistency guarantees, and scalable schemas.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience with Postgres, Valkey, and event-driven systems such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
  • Strong distributed systems fundamentals, including idempotency, retries, ordering, concurrency, and consistency.
  • Experience designing multi-tenant systems with tenant isolation, data and quota boundaries, and noisy-neighbor containment.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GCP.
  • Familiarity with secrets management, KMS, and PCI basics.
  • Experience with unit, integration, contract, and performance testing.
  • Experience designing scalable schemas with backward compatibility.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or familiarity with Go, ConnectRPC, Buf, AlloyDB, ClickHouse, and OpenTelemetry.
