Description

  • Own the hook, angle, offer, and copy strategy across paid media, lifecycle, and on-site conversion channels.
  • Develop and oversee high-volume copy for ads, landing pages, VSLs, email, and SMS.
  • Write performance advertising copy for Meta, TikTok, Google Search, YouTube, native, and advertorial formats.
  • Create landing page copy and VSL scripts that improve acquisition, engagement, and conversion.
  • Partner with Performance Marketing and CRO to test, iterate, and optimize copy based on results.
  • Lead email and SMS copy strategy, including segmented messaging across the customer lifecycle.
  • Own FTC compliance, claims libraries, disclaimer standards, and final QC for conversion copy.
  • Manage and develop a team of two copywriters, with potential to expand as the business scales.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Content, Product Marketing, Consumer Insights, Lifecycle, CRO, and Ecommerce teams on integrated messaging.
  • Maintain copy consistency and brand voice across conversion environments and future brands.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of performance or direct-response copywriting experience at DTC consumer brands in health, wellness, beauty, or consumables.
  • A portfolio showing high-converting copy across ads, landing pages, VSLs, and email.
  • Proven ability to develop hooks, angles, and offers that improve paid media efficiency.
  • VSL writing experience is strongly preferred, with evidence of long-form copy that converts at scale.
  • Lifecycle copy experience using Klaviyo, Attentive, or comparable email and SMS platforms.
  • Native advertising and advertorial copy experience, especially with Taboola or Outbrain, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing a small copy team of two to four people with clear accountability and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of FTC compliance for supplement, health, or wellness advertising.
  • Comfort with high-volume writing and rapid iteration based on performance data.
  • Experience working with design, paid media, and CRO teams in a fast-paced test-and-learn environment.
  • Remote-first mindset with the ability to lead distributed teams effectively.
  • Located within driving distance of Los Angeles, CA, preferred.
