Description

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Application Development team, including full-stack developers and Data Integration Engineers.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and Tier 3 support.
  • Drive delivery of scalable, high-quality applications across claims systems, integrations, APIs, and internal tools.
  • Hire, mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical professionals while managing performance and career growth.
  • Align team priorities with business goals and maintain clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Oversee APIs, ETL pipelines, and integration services that support enterprise data flows.
  • Collaborate with data, integration, engineering, infrastructure, and vendor partners to resolve complex system issues.
  • Ensure production systems meet performance, stability, availability, and other defined KPIs.
  • Implement and improve Agile/Waterfall practices, tooling, and delivery frameworks, including Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish and maintain development standards, documentation, secure development practices, and compliance controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
  • 10+ years of IT experience leading development in enterprise environments with complex integrations.
  • Direct experience managing applications and/or systems management.
  • Expert knowledge of technical design, solution design, and architecture.
  • Expert knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of SDLC and Agile/SCRUM best practices and methodologies.
  • Experience working with Business Analysis and QA teams during SDLC handoffs.
  • Advanced data integration knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills with a customer service focus.
  • Knowledge of, or desire to learn, applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Design and/or development experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and Web Services.
  • Strong background in object-oriented development techniques and design patterns.
  • Experience with Git and continuous integration.
  • Experience with Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Hangfire, and Cron.
  • Experience with QA automation frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms; Azure experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Azure-based web application development using microservices, App Services, and Service Bus.
  • Experience with SQL platforms such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL, or Mongo DB.
  • Experience troubleshooting data integration pipelines, performance tuning, and validating data exports.
  • Experience with AI development, developer governance, and spec-driven AI development.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $184,000-$231,000 in the greater Seattle area, depending on geography, skills, experience, education, and market factors.
  • Performance-based incentive bonus(es).
