Description

  • Prospect for new leads and opportunities through outreach, referrals, industry events, and inbound inquiries.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract close.
  • Screen, qualify, demonstrate, and negotiate with prospective customers to meet sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong post-sale customer relationships to support satisfaction and account growth.
  • Own the customer onboarding and deployment experience to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
  • Act as the on-the-ground representative for Halter across a large Western Victoria territory.
  • Gather field feedback from customers and share insights with Product, Support, and R&D teams.
  • Collaborate with Support to resolve customer issues quickly and escalate problems when needed.
  • Work with regional agricultural groups to build deep relationships across the beef industry.
  • Travel frequently throughout the territory to engage with customers and prospects.

Requirements

  • Value-based sales experience with a strong track record of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building customer relationships.
  • Experience in post-sales value building and upselling to grow partnerships.
  • Knowledge of beef operations and the unique challenges of the beef industry, or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
  • A proactive, accountable attitude with the ability to thrive under pressure and own results.
  • Ability to manage a large territory using critical thinking and balanced judgment across sales and customer success.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
  • Based anywhere in Western Victoria, preferably Warrnambool.
  • Experience working in agriculture or with farmers, ideally in a field-based role.
  • Ability to demonstrate authenticity, energy, and passion in customer interactions.
