Description

  • Prospect for new leads and opportunities through outreach, referrals, industry events, and inbound inquiries.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract close.
  • Screen, qualify, demonstrate, and negotiate deals to meet high-growth sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term satisfaction and account growth.
  • Own the customer experience through onboarding and deployment, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
  • Act as the on-the-ground representative for Halter within the assigned territory.
  • Gather field feedback from customers and share insights with Product, Support, and R&D teams.
  • Partner with support teams to resolve customer issues quickly and escalate problems when needed.
  • Work with regional agricultural groups to deepen relationships across the beef industry.
  • Travel frequently within the territory to meet farmers and prospects daily.

Requirements

  • Must live within the South Waikato Region / Central Plateau / National Park area, including Taumarunui, Taupo, Turangi, and Ohakune.
  • Frequent travel within the territory is required.
  • Demonstrated evidence of the role requirements in a resume, cover letter, and interviews.
  • Strong history as a high-performing value-based salesperson.
  • Experience creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience with post-sales value building and upselling to grow partnerships.
  • Beef industry experience, or deep passion to learn farm operations quickly.
  • Ability to manage a large territory with critical thinking and balanced focus on sales and customer success.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to thrive under pressure and own results.
