Description

  • Prospect and generate new business through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and local agricultural networking.
  • Conduct in-field sales conversations with ranchers and prospects in settings such as ranches, auctions, and industry gatherings.
  • Manage territory growth by expanding existing customer relationships and identifying upsell opportunities.
  • Own sales targets and maintain an active pipeline while balancing current deals and future opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary customer account contact after the sale to support satisfaction and ongoing success.
  • Coordinate smooth handoff from sales to customer onboarding, deployment, and implementation teams.
  • Own territory-level customer feedback collection and advocate for customer needs internally.
  • Collaborate with support and cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively.
  • Represent Halter at industry events, demonstrations, and association meetings to build awareness and relationships.
  • Contribute field insights to help improve US sales strategy and refine the sales process.

Requirements

  • Experience in ranching or cattle operations.
  • Proven success in sales and customer success, including creating new business opportunities and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Experience managing a large territory with a balanced focus on sales and customer success, ideally in agriculture or technology.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, results-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and solve problems quickly.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the territory, approximately 75%.
  • Background in value-based sales conversations and relationship-based selling.
  • Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies (preferred).
  • Background in customer-facing roles within agriculture technology (preferred).
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment (preferred).
