Description

  • Prospect for new leads and opportunities through outreach, referrals, industry events, inbound enquiries, and other channels.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to close.
  • Qualify prospects, demonstrate the product, and negotiate contracts to meet sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support post-sale satisfaction and account growth.
  • Own the customer handoff from sales to onboarding and deployment to ensure a smooth implementation experience.
  • Support customers through onboarding and deployment to help them get the most value from Halter's solutions.
  • Act as the primary field contact in the territory and gather customer feedback for internal teams.
  • Share field insights with Product, Support, and R&D to inform improvements and innovations.
  • Collaborate with Support teams to resolve customer issues quickly and escalate when needed.
  • Manage a large territory with a balanced focus on sales growth and customer success.

Requirements

  • Value-based sales experience with a strong track record of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience building post-sales value and upselling to grow customer partnerships.
  • Beef industry experience or a deep passion for beef operations and a willingness to learn farm operations quickly.
  • Ability to think critically and manage a large territory while balancing sales and customer success priorities.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Frequent travel within the territory is required.
  • Must be based anywhere in the West Victoria region, ideally Ballarat.
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and able to thrive under pressure while owning results.
  • Authentic energy and passion in customer interactions.
  • Experience in regional agricultural relationships is beneficial.
