Description

  • Create original artwork, including characters, motifs, patterns, and scenes, in Hadley Designs’ established style.
  • Complete illustration sets across product lines while maintaining a cute, playful, kid-friendly aesthetic.
  • Translate creative concepts and direction into finished, production-ready product designs.
  • Carry projects from initial handoff through final build-out with increasing independence.
  • Create variations, expand designs across full product sets, and prepare files for production.
  • Prepare print and production files to specification, including mockups and product previews for listings.
  • Maintain style references and ensure consistency across the growing product catalog.
  • Provide occasional support for A+ content, storefront updates, CMYK ad images, and revisions to existing product lines.

Requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating original illustration work with a cute, playful, kid-friendly, or product-design sensibility.
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for native illustration.
  • Ability to match and extend an established art style across a complete product set.
  • Strong ability to interpret written and verbal creative direction and deliver finished artwork.
  • Reliable deadline management while handling multiple pieces simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-moving environment where products launch monthly.
  • Experience preparing print or production files to specification preferred.
  • Familiarity with children’s, educational, or consumer-product design preferred.
  • Comfort using lightweight project and file-organization tools such as Notion and ClickUp preferred.
  • Early-career candidates with strong illustration talent and a desire to develop their craft are encouraged; senior-level experience is not required.
