Description

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Design, implement, and operationalize security controls across a wide range of IT and enterprise business systems.
  • Provide architectural guidance and recommend the best security technologies to address customer cybersecurity challenges.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prioritize and deliver work independently across a portfolio of projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Author business and technical collateral tailored to technical and managerial audiences.
  • Support sales activities in partnership with multiple Account Managers across Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, and Idaho.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deploy and operationalize security solutions.
  • Advise on security technology selection across areas such as network security, data security, SIEM, endpoint, and application security.

Requirements

  • Security engineering experience in the Information Security industry or as a technical lead for an internal Information Security program.
  • Experience architecting and recommending security technologies such as network, data security, SIEM, endpoint, and related solutions.
  • Experience with DevSecOps programs, SDLC, and strong knowledge of the application security market.
  • Proficiency with multiple security technologies, including Next-Gen Firewalls, DLP, SASE, NAC, PAM, EDR, NDR, SIEM, APPSEC, CWPP, and CSPM.
  • Strong understanding of networking security concepts such as routing, segmentation, zones, and NAT.
  • Deep proficiency with client and server operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • General networking and security troubleshooting experience with firewalls, routing, NAT, and related issues.
  • Scripting and development skills in BASH, Perl, Python, PowerShell, or Java, with strong knowledge of regular expressions.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP products and security best practices.
  • Working technical knowledge of advanced security concepts such as Defense in Depth and Zero Trust.
  • Experience in a consultative or professional services role.
  • Industry certifications from ISC2, SANS GIAC, or vendor certification programs are preferred.
  • Must be currently located in Portland, OR, Boise, ID, or Seattle, WA to support the Northwest region.
