Description

  • Work with clients to gather information needed for annual reporting.
  • Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Reconcile simple plans using Excel and plan administration software.
  • Use administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
  • Make reminder calls and send emails during the plan-year reporting process.
  • Prepare required government filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
  • Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration and plan documents.
  • Explain complex retirement plan topics in a clear and simple way.
  • Support training for Retirement Plan Administrator I concepts.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Customer service, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Adequate math and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in an autonomous, self-directed environment.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must meet work-from-home requirements.
  • Must have a designated workspace and reliable high-speed internet.
  • Complete continuing education based on current certifications.
