Description

  • Lead the planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, and closeout of complex healthcare programs.
  • Provide strategic oversight for enterprise initiatives such as Federal EHR implementation, PACT Act efforts, access improvement, and OPPE.
  • Manage contract performance, project schedules, deliverables, staffing, and resource allocation across multiple workstreams.
  • Collaborate with VA leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to set priorities, resolve issues, and drive program outcomes.
  • Oversee program governance, risk management, performance reporting, and quality assurance activities.
  • Direct project management activities using established methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Oversee data analytics, performance metrics, dashboard development, and executive reporting.
  • Support budget planning, financial tracking, and budget application management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Lead organizational change management efforts for clinical, operational, and technology initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with VA policies, federal regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Mentor project managers and technical staff while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare program management relevant to the PWS.
  • PMP certification or a comparable project management certification.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting a large corporation or government agency in a program or project management capacity.
  • Master's degree in a healthcare-related discipline such as Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience working within or providing contract support to the Veterans Health Administration preferred.
  • Experience implementing enterprise clinical and/or healthcare technology solutions within a large healthcare system preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of organizational change management, process improvement, and implementation science methodologies preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Prosci Change Management, Lean, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of healthcare informatics, healthcare data analytics, performance measurement, and reporting preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise governance, executive reporting, and strategic planning initiatives preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal healthcare operations, VA policies, and healthcare modernization initiatives preferred.
