Description

  • Collaborate with the team to deliver new features, analyze outcomes, and make iterative improvements.
  • Lead projects from concept through implementation, including ongoing customer support.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you oversee.
  • Support and mentor teammates while contributing to design discussions and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Influence the product roadmap and contribute to your own career development goals.
  • Work independently in a remote-first environment while communicating effectively with a distributed team.
  • Deepen knowledge of Grafana Cloud products, customers, and the codebase to expand impact.
  • Implement distributed systems for profile ingestion and query handling.
  • Support profiling integrations and plugin capabilities that help users explore and analyze application profiles.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with at least one programming language; Go is used, with Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar also relevant.
  • Experience delivering projects end-to-end, from gathering requirements and brainstorming to shipping a product.
  • Strong experience designing and developing software that runs in the cloud, or experience with systems engineering.
  • Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is maintainable by others.
  • Experience with on-call work and operations/SRE tasks, or familiarity with infrastructure as code.
  • Solid experience with distributed systems.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.
  • A pragmatic, iterative approach to solving complex problems and delivering MVPs.
  • Bonus: familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus in operational or hobby projects, microservices architecture, or database backend work.
