Description

  • Manage planning and execution of engineering tasks that support ongoing network operations.
  • Implement GFiber standards and architectural practices to meet service requirements and roadmap system upgrades.
  • Support and lead deployment of fiber-to-the-home network infrastructure for new builds and customer installations.
  • Perform new plant design and configuration control for existing plant.
  • Review engineering designs, validate or correct them, and ensure they are constructible and deployable for OSP build teams.
  • Manage local engineering vendor staff and supervise engineering vendors across internal and external teams.
  • Track and revise documentation, monitor contractor performance, and manage billing against budget and contract.
  • Coordinate outside plant moves and changes required by civil works projects.
  • Write training design documents describing operation and interoperability of core FTTH network components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to develop scalable network designs, solutions, and policy recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in network operations, engineering, construction, and/or maintenance roles.
  • Experience managing engineering efficiency and process improvements for an organization.
  • Experience managing telecommunication engineering infrastructure, Fiber to the Home/Plant (FFTx) design, operations, and/or outside plant (OSP) projects.
  • Experience managing engineering vendor resources (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating network engineering, network design planning, and plant configuration control (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of fiber inventory management and assignment systems (preferred).
  • Experience managing complex projects involving team members from multiple disciplines (preferred).
  • Knowledge of materials and labor required for an accurate construction Bill of Materials and associated cost (preferred).
  • This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Benefits

  • US base salary range of $129,600 - $142,600 per year.
  • Bonus and cash award eligibility.
  • Benefits package included.
