Description

  • Negotiate and acquire transport, transit, caching, and private LAN services as the strategic vendor lead.
  • Build and maintain relationships with telecommunications companies, network carriers, and colocation operators.
  • Negotiate and implement commercial agreements and execute orders with incumbent providers under existing contracts.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to define capacity needs and develop resilient leased infrastructure solutions.
  • Prepare infrastructure drawings, statements of work, and other materials that clearly define technical scope.
  • Identify, evaluate, and acquire metro dark fiber assets and bandwidth services.
  • Use technical judgment to resolve design challenges and manage escalations when infrastructure delivery is at risk.
  • Lead projects of varying size and complexity across cross-functional teams.
  • Improve processes and drive the technical direction of assigned programs.
  • Partner with legal and internal teams to support long-term vendor and business agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Law, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of program management experience managing networking projects with cross-functional teams.
  • 5 years of experience developing and managing network infrastructure programs.
  • Experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and acquisition of network infrastructure assets including dark fiber, bandwidth, colocation space, and power.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
  • 8 years of experience with fiber network deployments and building outside plant and inside plant fiber infrastructure, preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with strategic negotiations or business development for high-technology providers in colocation, data centers, internet transit, network transport, telecom, or IT services, preferred.
  • 3 years of experience with space and power build-outs in data centers or third-party colocation facilities, outside plant infrastructure, power distribution design (AC and/or DC), or data center design or operations, preferred.
  • Ability to think creatively and work independently while leading cross-functional efforts, preferred.
  • This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

  • US base salary range of $139,200 to $203,300 annually.
