Description

  • Partner directly with managers on performance conversations, feedback, team effectiveness, and development planning.
  • Coach managers through underperformance, team dynamics, calibration, and translating expectations into actionable guidance.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee concerns, questions, and early-stage grievances.
  • Navigate sensitive employee relations situations with sound judgment, clear documentation, and timely escalation when needed.
  • Support conflict resolution and help address issues early before they escalate.
  • Drive execution of performance review cycles, including tracking progress, completion, and calibration documentation.
  • Own engagement survey logistics and ensure follow-through on action plans.
  • Provide consultative guidance on leaves of absence, accommodations, and policy-related questions, including FMLA, ADA, and state programs.
  • Identify patterns across teams and recommend process improvements that strengthen clarity, fairness, and consistency.
  • Own follow-through, tracking, and project management to ensure people work is completed and visible.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or HRBP roles.
  • Direct experience supporting managers on performance and employee relations.
  • Experience running or supporting core people processes such as performance cycles, engagement surveys, or leave/LOA coordination.
  • Strong judgment in sensitive and ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to coach managers with both candor and care.
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and hold others accountable.
  • Comfort shifting between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Motivation to support both people and business outcomes.
  • West Coast location preferred, though remote candidates from other locations are considered.
