Description

  • Develop and execute HIL test plans, procedures, and automated test cases for integrated autonomous transit behavior.
  • Build, configure, maintain, and improve HIL benches, test harnesses, simulators, hardware interfaces, networks, data acquisition, and test data workflows.
  • Translate requirements, operational scenarios, safety needs, and regression concerns into repeatable tests with clear pass/fail criteria.
  • Expand automated regression coverage before vehicle and track testing.
  • Test and troubleshoot embedded controllers, vehicle subsystems, autonomy interfaces, communications, diagnostics, fault handling, and degraded modes.
  • Analyze logs, telemetry, traces, dashboards, and test data to determine outcomes and support root-cause analysis.
  • Track failures through issue classification, impact assessment, regression analysis, and verification of fixes.
  • Improve automation, tooling, dashboards, data pipelines, and reporting to increase test coverage, repeatability, and execution speed.
  • Prepare test evidence for readiness and release reviews, including configuration status, safety controls, procedures, and open issues.
  • Collaborate with embedded software, autonomy, vehicle, systems, safety, quality, operations, and deployment teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, aerospace, mechanical, electrical, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in system test, HIL testing, embedded systems, systems integration, product validation, robotics, transportation, aerospace, automotive, medical devices, industrial automation, or comparable fields.
  • Experience developing or executing integration-level or system-level tests, including scenario design, procedures, acceptance criteria, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with complex electromechanical or cyber-physical systems involving software, controls, sensors, networks, hardware, safety constraints, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to analyze logs, telemetry, traces, test data, and system behavior using Python, dashboards, notebooks, log viewers, or equivalent tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical risks, results, and blockers clearly.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL benches, test harnesses, simulators, automated regression frameworks, or continuous-integration testing preferred.
  • Experience with embedded systems, controller testing, vehicle networks, diagnostics, fault injection, real-time systems, or hardware/software integration preferred.
  • Ability to read, modify, or write C/C++ and experience with Python-based automation or data analysis preferred.
  • Experience with requirements and issue-tracking tools such as Jama, DOORS, Polarion, SysML, Jira, or GitHub, plus safety or transportation standards, preferred.
