Description

  • Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to demonstrate how GitLab meets customer needs.
  • Own technical evaluations, including solution design, proof of concept or proof of value initiatives, workshop design, and tender or audit support.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and support customer advocacy.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Maintain and extend technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies.
  • Create reusable examples, best practice guidance, and technical collateral for customers and partners.
  • Support customer transformation efforts and drive successful platform adoption.
  • Invest in ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to strengthen the Solutions Architect team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience guiding customers through solution design and evaluation.
  • Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and deployment, security, and operations options.
  • Ability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value.
  • Experience contributing to tenders, audits, workshops, or value stream assessments.
  • Clear technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior decision makers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, empathy, and a customer-advocacy mindset.
  • Motivation to continuously develop professionally and learn new technologies.
  • Experience in related fields is transferable and welcomed.
