Description

  • Own the regional sales strategy and execution for ASEAN and Korea, including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Korea.
  • Build, manage, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives.
  • Oversee pipeline visibility, regional sales planning, and day-to-day execution against business plans.
  • Drive new logo acquisition and expansion across medium-sized and complex multi-stakeholder accounts.
  • Lead deal strategy and support contract negotiations for high-value opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing, business development, and local networks to generate qualified pipeline and strengthen market awareness.
  • Establish repeatable sales processes, operating rhythms, and methodologies such as MEDDPICC or similar.
  • Collaborate with account management, customer success, marketing, product, engineering, and operations to align execution and customer experience.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with key accounts to uncover renewal and expansion opportunities.
  • Review pipeline, forecast, and performance data to identify gaps, adjust plans, and represent regional market insights internally.

Requirements

  • Experience building and managing sales teams in a regional or multi-country context.
  • Ability to design and execute a regional go-to-market plan, including pipeline generation and territory coverage.
  • Experience coaching teams through a structured sales process and supporting complex deal strategy.
  • Familiarity with B2B software or technology sales and concepts related to open source and DevSecOps.
  • Experience using MEDDPICC or similar data-informed sales methodologies.
  • Strength in consultative, value-based selling with senior customer stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, all-remote environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM and marketing tools.
  • Ability to work effectively across account management, customer success, marketing, product, engineering, and operations.
  • Interest in deepening knowledge of GitLab’s platform is preferred.
