Description

  • Manage a team of intermediate and senior Solutions Architects across Central and Eastern Europe.
  • Act as a player-coach on strategic opportunities and support complex sales cycles.
  • Lead technical evaluations, workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Partner with Sales, Channel, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Product Management, and global Solutions Architecture teams.
  • Manage dotted-line relationships with Channel Solutions Architects and subject matter experts.
  • Oversee workload planning, resource allocation, headcount planning, opportunity forecasting, and field execution.
  • Define and track team KPIs and communicate progress, risks, and priorities to stakeholders.
  • Hire, develop, and retain high-performing Solutions Architects.
  • Build regional operating practices that improve execution and scale the team.
  • Strengthen executive relationships and translate customer requirements into business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience managing technical teams in software or technology sales, pre-sales, consulting, or a related environment across Central Europe.
  • Strong background in solution architecture or comparable practical experience.
  • Proven success developing, mentoring, and scaling Solutions Architecture practices or similar customer-facing technical organizations.
  • Strong communication and technical presentation skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and sound judgment.
  • Track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior stakeholder groups.
  • Experience building inclusive, high-performing teams in a distributed or remote environment.
  • A genuine curiosity for AI and willingness to incorporate AI tools into day-to-day work.
  • Ability and willingness to travel in line with business needs and GitLab's travel policy.
  • Experience in adjacent domains and willingness to learn GitLab and related tools (preferred).
