Description

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and sales enablement for GitLab’s pricing and packaging across the product portfolio.
  • Develop and own the narrative for GitLab’s pricing philosophy and positioning for different monetization actions.
  • Create messaging frameworks, sales plays, playbooks, and guidance that help sales teams handle pricing conversations across segments.
  • Lead launch readiness for pricing and packaging updates, including sales training, customer communications, and website or journey updates.
  • Track post-launch pricing performance using adoption metrics, customer feedback, and sales insights, and turn findings into recommendations.
  • Build and maintain enablement assets such as tier differentiation guides, objection-handling frameworks, competitive pricing narratives, ROI and TCO materials, and pricing calculators.
  • Spend approximately 50% of the time in customer and sales meetings to gather field insights on objections, deal dynamics, and messaging gaps.
  • Build external thought leadership content on platform economics, consumption models, and value-based pricing.
  • Lead cross-functional programs to improve how pricing and packaging are communicated and operationalized.
  • Share best practices with other Product Marketing Managers to improve consistency in commercial messaging.

Requirements

  • Experience leading pricing and packaging product marketing for B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Experience building sales enablement for complex products.
  • Proven ability to translate pricing and packaging changes into repeatable sales motions, including playbooks and objection handling.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS monetization models such as seat-, usage-, and outcome-based pricing.
  • Experience partnering with product management, sales leadership, finance, and revenue operations.
  • Ability to build ROI and total cost of ownership (TCO) value quantification assets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex pricing concepts for different audiences.
  • Data-informed approach using sales feedback, win/loss analysis, pricing analytics, customer research, and competitive intelligence.
  • Comfort working autonomously in an all-remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Willingness to spend significant time in customer- and sales-facing meetings.

  • United States base salary range of $139,200 to $235,200 USD.
