Description

  • Own a broad book of Enterprise business across new prospects and expanding existing accounts.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from discovery and solution alignment through negotiation and close.
  • Articulate GitLab’s DevSecOps value proposition and connect it to customer business outcomes.
  • Document buying criteria, buying processes, next steps, and owners to maintain an accurate evidence-based pipeline.
  • Analyze wins and losses and contribute root-cause insights to improve team performance.
  • Partner with business development, marketing, technical teams, and customer success across pre- and post-sales activities.
  • Contribute to improving the sales handbook and internal sales processes by documenting best practices and refinements.
  • Represent the voice of the customer by sharing product feedback and ideas through the public issue tracker.

Requirements

  • Proven success in software sales, ideally in an enterprise market context.
  • Experience managing a varied book of business.
  • Ability to guide customers through the full buying journey, including buying criteria and buying process definition.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining accurate pipeline data and account plans based on evidence.
  • Skill in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions to close opportunities.
  • Experience with win/loss analysis and root cause analysis, with the ability to share insights.
  • Interest in GitLab, open source software, and preferably familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and willingness to contribute from diverse or transferable sales backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel in line with company policy.
  • Fluent German language skills are required.
